IRC Logs for #circuits Tuesday, 2014-04-22

marky1991Hey prologic, do you have any example code that uses nodes to connect to a server across a network? The current node examples just show how the server can use event handlers, it doesnt' show either side actually sending messages to either side00:07
marky1991I've tried using node.add and this works locally, but it doesn't seem to work on seperate machines00:07

prologicFor the moment events are not transferred to connected nodes implicitly or transparently01:44
prologicYou must:01:44
prologicself.fire(remote(some_event(), "node_id"))01:45
prologicalthough ideally (I think)01:45
prologicwe should support both01:45
prologicand let the user/developer decide01:45
prologicBut even so, on one side you could just:01:46

c45ynm, documentation02:39
c45ypretty boring stuff02:39
c45ythis is why I hate writing code, I have to then document it all02:39
prologicoh you poor thing :)02:42
c45yI have 4 internal apps and a API endpoint to document02:42
c45ybut im documenting it for sysadmins, not programmers or software engineers02:43
c45yso its super stupidly detailed02:43
prologicheh02:44
c45yI need to find a self documenting php parser02:44
