prologicnvm :)10:24
jaegermaildir + reiserfs + 120k mails = holy slow, batman10:24
prologicgot X fixed10:24
jaegerI can only imagine how much more it would suck with mbox10:24
tilmanjaeger: haha, i thought many small files were something reiserfs was good at10:25

jaegeranyone know if 'find' will do the right thing if I give it a -exec and a -delete in that order? I need to grep through every file in that 120k mail list and delete based on a specific subject line, something like this is what I'm thinking:10:38
jaegerfind . -type f -exec grep -l "subject line" '{}' \; -delete10:38
jaegerI don't want -delete to delete everything, hoping it will only delete the things that match that grep in the -exec10:39
tilmanjaeger: replace the -delete with a -print (or something) to check?10:39
jaegerI have done that and it seems to do the right thing, just wanted to see if anyone here had already done something similar10:39
jaegerI'm backing up the entire dir now just in case10:39
tilmansorry, i'm not a find guru10:39
jaegerfair enough, thanks anyway :)10:40
