prologicfrinnst, hey mate when you're around03:31
prologicI created a x86_64 perl port03:32
prologicminor modification but necessary for any apps written in perl to detect whether or not they're running on 64bit systems (eg: vmware-tools)03:32
prologicfrinnst, iirc, you organized for me to have commit access to the x86_64 repos right ?03:32

teK_prologic: you will need 32bit libc etc. so 32bit vmware tools won't be able to work on a system with the 32bit enable in kernel only09:40

jaegernipuL: thinking about multilib some more, if we go with lib64 for 64-bit stuff and lib for 32-bit stuff, the overlay concept doesn't work as well, since now everything needs --libdir=/usr/lib64 or the equivalent10:44
jaegerthough honestly, reading the FHS it's not clear which should be which10:45
jaegerlib and usr/lib sound to me like where your "main" arch files should go10:45
jaegerso lib would be 64-bit and lib32 32-bit in that case10:45
