juejaeger: I've to commit an update to opt, should I do something special?16:04
jaegerjue: here's what I was thinking to do: before the push I'll set the rsync repo's opt dir setgid, then see 3.x.new and 3.x.old are properly handled16:05
jueok, I'll commit at your request16:08
jaegerare you pushing to 3.1 or 3.2?16:08
jue3.116:08
jaegerok, go ahead. I tweaked the perms16:09
jueand pushed ..16:10
jaegerno errors?16:10
jueno16:11
jaegerok, setgid bit gets removed (because the entire dir gets replaced)16:11
jaegeralthough it seems there was no issue with 3.1.new and 3.1.old being properly removed/renamed16:12
jaegercould set the setgid bit on the top level rsync dir, I guess16:14
jaegerunless that would force the same group on all dirs, that's maybe not what we want16:16
jaeger(though less important on the rsync side than the git side)16:16
jueI have another three commits waiting, if you want to test something else16:17
jaegernot at the moment, thanks for the help :)16:17
juenp, thank you :)16:18
jaegerI think that setting setgid on the git side is probably the most useful thing but not sure. I'm also not sure how much teK__ has looked into this issue, so I didn't want to make a lot of changes and get in his way16:19
teK__hi folks..17:35
teK__jaeger: I'm still not sure what's causing the issue17:35
teK__I enabled verbose execution of the shell scripts but did not get much out of it as it worked for me[tm] before I stopped looking into it17:35
teK__during the honeymoon I had almost no to zero internet access17:36
