tilmanteK_: . what do you think?09:46
tilmanteK_: this fixes the following problem: when X dies (started via slim), you can no longer shut down slim. slim.lock exists, but points at a stale PID. that also prevents _starting_ slim, unless you _manually_ remove the lock file09:47
tilmanteK_: ... i wonder whether that patch has a downside though. i think cptn and sip knew what they were doing ;)09:48
teK_tilman: will give it a shot tonight09:52
tilmanteK_: sure, there's no hurry09:52

frinnstteK_: you cant be building xulrunner from the 2.7/opt-x86_64 repo10:47
thrice`I wonder if amd64-essential-codecs  really should still exist :>  does anything really need it any longer?10:51
frinnsti dont think so :)10:51
thrice`or, win32-codecs for that matter too10:51

mhin0nsense: I'm just used to the other one in here. ;]17:42
mhiRotwang: :D17:42
n0nsensemhi: dunno, it feels inconsitent, because this is somehow my real nick :P18:07
mhiNoted. ;]18:09
mhiDo I have to remove files AFTER make install? I tried: make; rm -rf $PKG/usr/blabla; make DESTDIR=$PKG install18:57
tilmanbefore make install, $PKG is usually empty ;)18:57
mhiBut the files don't get removed and I don't see why.18:57
tilmanmove the rm _after_ make install18:58
tilmani like to not use -f in pkgfiles18:59
tilmanthat may you get an error if there's nothing to remove18:59
tilmanwhich usually means you have a bug in your pkgfile18:59
mhiAh! I think I try to understand.. again :)19:01
mhi-try +start19:01

mhiHmm, do manpages get .gz'd by pkgmk?19:13
mhiBecause after 'make install' I have files like.. $PKG/usr/man/man1/bla.1.gz. But when I try to rm the file, I have to write in Pkgfile: rm $PKG/usr/man/man1/bla.119:14
mhiRotwang: Ah, makes sense then ;)19:15
thrice`and rarely should you remove man pages, how rude ;)19:20
mhiWell, I create a port for a certain tool from a suite of tools.. I just wanted to paste my Pkgfile, but unfortunately the Vim port doesn't compile in X support, as it seems.19:24
mhiDoes that look sane to you?19:26
thrice`nothing in /usr/include or /usr/share ?19:27
mhiWell, nothing I need for my port :)19:28
mhi(And I forgot to use $version in $source)19:28
RotwangI like the --disable-everything switch [;19:33
Rotwangmhi btw you could probably pass --disable-static not to compile static libs19:34
Rotwangbut probably  --disable-everything implies  --disable-static [;19:34
mhiHeh. I guess autoconf always provides --disable-everything? I just checked ./configure --help and didn't see the option, but ./configure won't complain, so it seems ok :>19:41
*** Rotwang has quit IRC19:42
thrice`I still think removing headers is a bad idea :>19:46
mhiWell, I maintain 2 port repos: /usr/ports/{local,personal}. Former is meant for ports to be published and latter is a very personal port fitting my needs. This port comes to personal, but I'll make a full xosd port for local :-)19:49
mhiBTW, shouldn't I be able to see all packages I pkgadd'ed myself? I can't see "osd_cat" with 'ports -l | grep osd_cat". Or does the tool have problems with underlines?19:56
mhiNevermind, I used the name from $name, not the port dir name.19:58

sirmacikHi \i20:02
sirmacik\o * (;20:02
mhiOk, prt-get seems to maintain an own history of software installed, right? That would explain why I can't use 'prt-get info' on my own ports installed by pkgadd.20:05
mhiHey, sirmacik20:05
mhiFound my answer: pkginfo -i | grep <port>20:07
*** jdolan has quit IRC20:08
jaegermhi: if you have your ports in a dir that's referenced in prt-get.conf with a prtdir entry, you can20:18
mhijaeger: Yup, figured it out in the end. Guess that are quite common beginner mistakes :)20:29
