blanche | hello2all. Just installed crux and after some tempering with kernel finally it boots. Everything is set and works, however I need a little hand holding for X configuration, because after starting dbus, hald and Xorg -configure when I startx everything froze. | 02:06 |
blanche | its crux 2.7 and bundled Xorg | 02:08 |
blanche | i can see xterm open but cant enter char with keyb or move mouse on laptop. thx | 02:12 |
pitillo | blanche: hello, have you checked the thread at topic about xorg problems? | 02:19 |
blanche | no. I came here first. If someone has a link with x config on crux... Maybe I hoped someone had a similar problem. | 02:22 |
blanche | Maybe should install X from ports? | 02:35 |
pitillo | blanche: it should work from the ISO and from ports. Have you checked Xorg.log to see if you can find more info there? | 02:37 |
blanche | Xorg.log is empty :) I am trying to find a solution with google :) | 02:38 |
blanche | And asked for help on xorg, so i just have to wait... Last resort to install from ports. | 02:39 |
blanche | I found a possible solutin. | 02:40 |

frinnst | not that ive noticed | 13:11 |

tgp1994 | Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with vsftpd where I can't create (upload) files. I'm logging in as anonymous, and write_enable is YES, and anon_upload_enable is YES. The directory in question has full write permissions. Somehow, I'm getting an error 553 in filezilla whenever I try to upload the file. Can anyone help? | 13:48 |
tgp1994 | Actually, I take that question back and replace it with another one... Is it possible to control what user owns the spawned child process(es) of vsftpd when someone connects? I'm not seeing much related to that in the config file, other than how a file can be chmodded. Although that's strange that even root doesn't seem to be able to put anything in this directory. | 13:56 |

Nomius | Hello | 18:50 |
Nomius | Anyone has built xorg-xf86-video-vga? | 18:52 |
jaeger | not recently | 19:03 |
jaeger | looks to be missing a dep or at least a header | 19:06 |
Nomius | Yeap | 19:09 |
Nomius | But that is in xorg-server... | 19:10 |
Nomius | So :-S | 19:10 |
jaeger | hrmm, wonder where that header went | 19:12 |
jaeger | I don't see it in the fedora 14 or 15 repos, either | 19:15 |
jaeger | I wonder if it's been deprecated or something | 19:16 |

Romster | tilman, consider removing xf86-video-vga ? | 21:52 |
jaeger | I don't use either =) | 21:57 |
Romster | yeah but vesa isn't depreciated, though i don't use that at all. | 22:00 |
Romster | vesa could be good for a chap video card for xorg stuff. | 22:01 |
