blanchehello2all. Just installed crux and after some tempering with kernel finally it boots. Everything is set and works, however I need a little hand holding for X configuration, because after starting dbus, hald and Xorg -configure when I startx everything froze.02:06
blancheits crux 2.7 and bundled Xorg02:08
blanchei can see xterm open but cant enter char with keyb or move mouse on laptop. thx02:12
pitilloblanche: hello, have you checked the thread at topic about xorg problems?02:19
blancheno. I came here first. If someone has a link with x config on crux... Maybe I hoped someone had a similar problem.02:22
blancheMaybe should install X  from ports?02:35
pitilloblanche: it should work from the ISO and from ports. Have you checked Xorg.log to see if you can find more info there?02:37
blancheXorg.log is empty :) I am trying to find a solution with google :)02:38
blancheAnd asked for help on xorg, so i just have to wait... Last resort to install from ports.02:39
blancheI found a possible solutin.02:40

frinnsthm, spotify runs surprisingly well12:55
tilmanread a bad article about it13:08
tilmansaying spotify uses your bandwidth to stream your music to other users13:08
frinnstnot that ive noticed13:11
frinnsti have a friend who works there, ill ask next time i see him :)13:12
tilmanarticle said it uses your b/w when spotify is running, but not actively streaming music13:13

frinnstdespotify seems to work pretty well too13:24
frinnsttilman: i bet you would like it, since you listen to wierd heavy/death metal13:32
tgp1994Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with vsftpd where I can't create (upload) files. I'm logging in as anonymous, and write_enable is YES, and anon_upload_enable is YES. The directory in question has full write permissions. Somehow, I'm getting an error 553 in filezilla whenever I try to upload the file. Can anyone help?13:48
tgp1994Actually, I take that question back and replace it with another one... Is it possible to control what user owns the spawned child process(es) of vsftpd when someone connects? I'm not seeing much related to that in the config file, other than how a file can be chmodded. Although that's strange that even root doesn't seem to be able to put anything in this directory.13:56

NomiusAnyone has built xorg-xf86-video-vga?18:52
jaegernot recently19:03
jaegerlooks to be missing a dep or at least a header19:06
NomiusBut that is in xorg-server...19:10
NomiusSo :-S19:10
jaegerhrmm, wonder where that header went19:12
jaegerI don't see it in the fedora 14 or 15 repos, either19:15
jaegerI wonder if it's been deprecated or something19:16
