crshdRomster: libmms in contrib is outdated - it's still 0.4, but 0.6.2 is out already... just tried to compile mediainfo, and it wouldn't until i updated libmms :S05:38
Romsterlaunchpad.net does not work on my version sort yet so i don't see that.05:39
crshdthe source is on SF, too ;)05:39
RomsterLatest version is 0.505:40
Romsterhmm05:40
Romsterreleased on 2009-11-02 O_O that site is outdated05:40
RomsterMoved to Sourceforge on 2010-09-2105:41
Romsteroh ffs that's why it's outdated they moved..05:41
Romstercrshd, fixed.05:48
crshdawesome :D so i can remove it from my collection again05:49
cruxbot[contrib.git/2.7]: libmms: 0.4 -> 0.6.205:49
*** mike_k has quit IRC05:50
cruxbot[contrib.git/2.7]: bzr: updated to 2.4.205:50
Romsteri wasn't aware of the move either.05:50
Romsteri would have later on when i review all the ports again.05:50
Romstercrshd, you could of just bumped the one in contrib then informed me.05:52
crshdi believe that must a pain... i "only" got around 50 so far, and i don't even want to think about having to keep them up to date05:52
Romsterthat it works.05:52
Romster233 or so i lost count then i got my other ports too.05:52
Romsterroyal pain indeed.05:53
Romsteryou probably have to recompile gst-plugins-bad too. unless your program sues libmms directly.05:57
*** mike_k has joined #crux06:02
Romsterah great now i spot the mjpegtools update has broken gst-plugins-bad06:06
cruxbot[opt.git/2.7]: openntpd: Patched to use adjtimex so that it actually sets the time.06:06

niklasweurk... I really  dont like to speak with  HP support :P..06:45
niklaswedoes someone know how I can get the spare part number  of a memory module.. ?06:51
Romsterall hp parts have replace with part number stickers...06:54
Romsterram modules for what jsut find out what it is ddr2 ddr3 and it's frequency.06:54
Romstermost times you can get away with the latency specs.06:55
niklasweRomster: I emailed them the output from dmidecode (from the memory) and they say we need more informationen.06:57
Romsterisn't there a sticker on the ram module?06:58
Romsterwhy get ram from hp anyways unless it's warranty replacement.06:58
Romsteror server ECC ram?06:58
niklasweYeah but  I not physical @ the server.. and its warranty06:59
niklaswegaah07:05
cruxbot[contrib.git/2.7]: Revert "mjpegtools: 1.9.0 -> 2.0.0"07:06
Romsterwell that sucks.07:07
niklasweyeah07:07
niklasweand dmidecode doesn't say anything..07:07
Romsterbet the bios would but you can't get to that right now.07:22
Romsterunless you got a serial console on it07:22
Romsterand means to do remote video keyboard over ip.07:23
niklaswenope i dont have that07:31
niklasweexactly I cant get it rigth now.. and it´s annoying that they doesn't "had" this problem before... I mean  I just call them and tell our memory has failed and need a new one..07:32
pitilloniklaswe: are they asking you the spare number for the module or the server? Here giving the server spare number problems are solved (to change disks, memory, PS or whatever)07:37
niklaswepitillo: for the module07:39
pitilloniklaswe: strange, never got that problem. They always ask for the server spare number. Have you tried contacting them again to see if someone else answer the call and can confirm you that is the module spare number instead of the server? (Here sometimes give good results when people don't know so much :)07:40
niklasweI give them the serial number of the machine.. but they want spare number for memory module too07:41
pitilloand they can't tell you how to check it in remote? or without opening the server? Because sysimgr or ilo don't show that info if I remember right07:43
niklaswepitillo: I also email them output from dmidecode (with the borken memory module)07:44
niklasweand I get the answer we need more information..07:44
pitilloreally strange behavior from hp support07:45
pitillonever got that kind of problems here07:45
niklasweyeah.07:47
Romsteri find it rather strange too,07:48
