niklaswehmm looks like the new version of bind 9.9.1 depends on xorg-libpciaccess..04:06
teK_wtf04:12
niklasweWhen i update it complain about it couldnt find package pciaccess, and after I installed xorg-libpciaccess and try recomplie it again i could install it.04:14
niklaswedo you guys know a good site to find nice backgrounds??04:15
teK_worked for me without libpciaccess04:18
teK_ie prt-get remove xorg-libpciaccess; prt-get depinst bind04:18
niklaswehmm strange..04:19
niklasweso what are you doing teK_ ?04:33
Romsterlibpciaccess should be moved to opt really.04:44
Romsteras that library is used by other projects too, and not necessary to have the entire xorg tree to use libpciaccess04:46
juewhich other projects?04:47
tilmanniklaswe: which version of bind?04:47
tilmanniklaswe: oh, nvm04:47
Romsterbind for one now.04:47
Romsterapparantly.04:48
niklaswetime for laundry...04:49
tilmantilman@brimstone [/tmp/bind-9.9.1] > grep -r pciaccess *04:49
tilmantilman@brimstone [/tmp/bind-9.9.1] >04:49
tilman;p04:49
Romsterlibva is another, but that needs mesa3d too so probably not worth the trouble of moving that port for one program04:49
Romsterniklaswe, must have something else on his system dragging it in.04:50
Romsteri do remember reading that tilman said libpciaccess is a general library that probably should be in opt.04:52
Romsterbut nevermind nothing but libva that needs mesa3d anyways so it needs xorg ports tree enabled to work.04:52
cruxbot[core.git/2.7]: bison: update to 2.6.205:02
cruxbot[core.git/2.7]: flex: update to 2.5.3705:02

niklasweRomster: but why should bind complain then when i trying to upgrade it..06:12
Romsterperhaps something else is using libpciaccess that bind depends on i don't know.06:13
Romsteri can build bind without libpciaccess06:13
niklaswebut now I´ve installed libpciaccess anyway..06:14
Romsterlibva is about the only port i'm aware of that uses libpciaccess06:14
Romsterno biggie06:14

niklasweany idé about this.. I have an mailserver on our network.. and it can email to everyone.. and have permit_mynetwork in smtpd_recipient_restrictions... and I also have 1 machine there i have configure postfix to relay to the otehr host.. and have smtpd_recipient_restrictions check_sender_access hash:/etc/postfix/sender_access reject but I can still send email my gmail.com even when i have gmail.com REJECT in my sender_access file..15:49
niklasweis it because the other mail-gateway have permit_networks?15:50
*** vee has joined #crux16:18
veehey guys, quick question. i changed my gtk theme using gtk-chtheme, however, pcmanfm has no icons. dont think it did to begin with. i checked the gtk2rc conf, and its linked to the folder, but still no icons16:18
krueIs there a trick to booting the crux installer from a USB drive on a UEFI motherboard?16:20
krueOr is it more likely just to be a quirk with my board if I can't get it to work?16:20
krueI'm using jaeger's updated iso dd'ed to a USB flash drive.16:20
kruehi vee. Sorry, I'm no help with that one...16:21
veei recall i had this issue before, just dont remember how i fixed it16:22
frinnstiirc, gtk-themes have nothing to do with icons16:33
jaegerkrue: efi and isohybrid are incompatible, sadly16:37
jaegerso the efi images aren't usb-bootable16:37
jaegeryou could make a usb efi boot image but not from the CD as far as I know16:37
krueThanks, jaeger. Do you know what tools I should be looking at to make such an image?16:40
veei used unetbootin, and it made crux installable via usb. i'm not sure if thats what your looking for16:42
jaegervee: that works for non-efi images but it breaks efi ones16:42
jaegerkrue: honestly I'm not sure. It's on my list to solve but haven't gotten there yet. Theoretically any efi bootloader that could run from usb would be fine, providing the motherboard in question can boot it16:43
jaegerso grub2, elilo, etc. should all work, I think16:43
veethe only other tool i can think of is xboot. not sure if that'll do it :/16:44
jaegersyslinux, if it supports efi, would be another option16:44
krueIt looks like newer kernels can be booted by uefi directly. So, I'll try making a fat32 boot partition with the efi kernel image,16:45
krueand dump the iso contents to a second ext2 partition.16:45
jaegerworth a try16:45
veealso, the arch wiki uses the gtkrc file to edited in the icon's theme name. ill google some more16:48

teK_what a bummer.. I checked with a site that had no problems ..18:07
teK_so: no I did not fix this and no this is not font-related18:08
teK_jaeger: do you have a square and the right bottom-most <select>-Element (for language) at http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95290 ?18:08
jaegerI don't know what you mean by the right bottom-most bit18:17
teK_there's a language selection box18:18
teK_at the bottom of the page18:18
teK_it says:18:18
teK_English(US)[]18:18
