tilmanfrinnst: 4.6 or greater?12:25
entedo you even mean orphans as in "apt-get autoremove" (automatically insatlled deps)? :)12:26
enteor orphaned packages?12:26
Amnesiaente: both12:27
enteorphaned as in unmaintained?12:27
Amnesiaany package with no packages depending on them12:28
*** jdolan has quit IRC12:29

Amnesiathink that's different13:28
frinnstlinkedin monkey!13:54
frinnstAmnesia: Found in /usr/ports/opt/prt-utils: /usr/bin/prtorphan13:55
Amnesiafrinnst: ohi here:)13:55
Amnesiawell that does something else13:55
Amnesiabut ehm, think pkgfoster is actually the thing I was looking for13:56
*** pidsley has quit IRC13:59
Amnesiathanks though:)14:00
Amnesiafrinnst: basically my idea was the following14:03
Amnesiax requires y, and both are installed14:03
Amnesiabut eventually you don't need x anymore, and remove it14:03
Amnesiabut then y will still be present14:03
Amnesiaand pretty useless:)14:03
tilmanAmnesia: ah, i was thinking whether it was pkgfoster or prtorphan :D14:05
tilmanAmnesia: been *ages* since i used either one14:06
Amnesiaguess your system has got quite some obsolete packages then:)?14:06

enteno, as with any real operating system, problems on crux are solved by reinstalling14:20
entejust like windows, ubuntu, mac os14:20
enteand probably emacs14:20
enteactually, OS X is fixed by replacing the mac14:21

frinnstI think i broke something: configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables15:29
teK_srsly.. WTF15:30
Rotwangfrinnst: my buddy told me that it is really effective15:30
frinnstI was told the same thing :)15:31
frinnstdunno if i agree.. but maybe that's because i never use it15:31
entemade me think about the femen activists chopping down a cross in reaction to the pussy riot issue15:34
DaViruzteK_: it looks like it's supposed to fold down15:34
RotwangteK_: they were probably at some arab district or so15:34
DaViruzhe does it just prior to hom getting in the car15:34
entesomeone else suggested that it's supposed to be that way, to ease him fitting into the car15:35
RotwangDaViruz: guy that folds it down looks really scared15:35
entes/him fitting/fitting him/15:35
DaViruzRotwang: he does15:35
enteI don't know what to make of it15:35
enteI also don't know what to make of phpmake15:35
DaViruzbut it seems to me he would have used his other hand if he intended to be discrete about it15:35
entefirst thing I thought was "what the fuck"15:36
entesecond thing "I don't even"15:36
entethen I googled it, it seems to be a cmake-ish progress indicator for makefiles15:36

joe9how do I migrate from crux 2.7.1 to 2.8?22:34
joe9is it just a prt-get sysup? or, is there more involved to the process?22:34
joe9i am probably mistaken. I do not see a 2.8 on the crux homepage.22:35
joe9I thought for some reason it was out.22:35
jaegerIt's not released yet, only an rc22:37
joe9oh, ok. thanks.22:38
jaegerwhen it's released, though, it'll be more involved than a sysup... there's a whole new toolchain, c library, etc., as well as soname changes22:38
joe9jaeger: ok, thanks.22:38
jaegeryou can of course do the upgrade without the CD but it'll be more work22:38
joe9almost like a reinstall, then.22:38
v33i was tryign to install wine on my friends machine, and, it said that wine couldn't install because of 32 bit freetype fonts or something....not much help, but, im no longer by the computer to provide more.22:42
