IRC Logs for #crux Monday, 2014-10-27

jaegeras for the codepage thing I fixed that just recently in my updated ISO00:00
Waspokay, about the ext3-fs, i dont care, was just a test for mount00:00
jaegeryou can add the cp437 and iso-8859-1 modules yourself if you like, or use the new one from http://crux.ninja/updated-iso/00:00
Waspmore important the codepage stuff, because i like to install it from the fat/usb ;)00:00
jaegeryeah. Most people seem to dd the iso to the usb device so that wasn't really tested/needed in the past00:01
Waspyes but dont want to dd my stick as well i like to a multiple stuff on it00:02
Wasp:)00:02
jaegeryeah, I saw you talking about it00:02
Wasps/ a / have /00:02
Waspokay thank you so far. Currently loading the updated iso00:04
_root_guys  a lightweight image viewer but good00:04
_root_?00:04
kori_root_: feh00:04
jaegerkori: sysvinit uses rc, rc is a script00:04
Waspi will come cry again if it still fails ;)00:04
korijaeger: I see00:05
koriI don't really like sysvinit or rc, I was looking into porting other init systems and service managers but then I got lazy00:05
_root_kori: a bit more gui ish00:05
kori_root_: oh i'm not sure then00:05
_root_anyone?00:06
korido you need gui specifically?00:06
_root_yep00:06
koriyeah, not sure00:06
korijaeger: besides prtcheck, is there any way I can check the quality of my ports?00:07
rmull_root_: sxiv is a nice image viewer00:07
rmullkori: There is also prtverify00:08
korirmull: ah, I spotted a bug00:08
koriin prtverify00:08
koriit calls #!/bin/sh when it should actually call #!/usr/bin/env bash00:08
korishopt is a bash option00:09
korihrm00:09
rmullI don't think that's a bug.00:10
korirmull: well, I have dash linked to /bin/sh00:10
koriand considering pkgmk calls #!/bin/bash I don't see why not00:11
Waspcuz not everybody has bash00:13
Waspbut everybody has (pseudo) sh00:13
rmulloh, if shopt is bash-only and prtverify calls shopt through /bin/sh, then yes, that's a problem00:15
*** jdolan has quit IRC00:16
Waspmaybe it should call shopt :)00:16

*** vlnx has joined #crux00:20
korirmull: that's what I said, yes00:22
koriit uses shopt and shopt is bash only, but the crunchbang says /bin/sh00:22
rmullYep00:25
DarkLinkXXXXFixed the wifi! It was in fact a problem of firmware, or lack thereof.00:33
Waspjaeger: boots up as supposed i think :)   (only think left is to get all the files out of the first level of my stick, that sucks ;) But I think "someone" has to fix initrc script therefore)00:34
*** nilp has joined #crux00:34

koricellwriter isn't00:51
