pedjathat gives a new meaning to 'causal friday' :)14:10
pedjacasual, even14:10
cruxbot[opt.git/3.4]: sqlite3: update to 3.27.114:10
Anselmooh right, its friday14:11
john_cephalopodaHmm, it would be nice to have some kind of standardized ck4up system.14:13
john_cephalopodaNot sure how useful that would be though...14:14
john_cephalopodaThe issue is, that ports are frequently outdated and some people don't seem to run ck4up frequently or check for updates of the packages they maintain.14:15
frinnsta lot of stuff is not very ck4up friendly14:40
frinnstalso its often not a question of "oh i didnt know that" but time and life balance14:41
TimB_git has a notify on new releases feature for some months now, I really like that one to keep track of updates for my repo14:46
TimB_uhm, github that is, don't know about gitlab14:47
joacimjohn_cephalopoda: i ignore ck4up completely. only go by develoers rss feeds15:27
joacimright now im looking at an unread one for gzdoom but ive been too lazy to update15:27
joacimalso that update fucks up compatibility with old saves :(15:27
john_cephalopodaThere's a gzdoom port somewhere?15:28
joacimi should automate ck4up in a way tho. email or rss feed when shit happens15:28
joacimfor software with no rss feeds15:29
joacimjohn_cephalopoda: maybe i didnt publish it. i can if you're interested15:29
joacimcan updated once im done eating my fruit15:29
joacimi think i held it back due to fluidsynth. it needs the older version, not 2.0 that we have15:30
john_cephalopodagzdoom compiles fine on my computer.15:33
john_cephalopodaOh, I haven't got fluidsynth installed though.15:34
joacimit compiles fine, but i kinda like the music =)15:34
joacimwhich i think is easier done with fluidsynth15:34
joacimsince it just works, and i think it is the default configuration in gzdoom15:35

joacimpushed gzdoom and fluidsynth1. added fluidsynth as a dependency. it will work without, but i think gzdoom is so nice with it that it might as well depend on it16:02
joacimdoesn't work with fluidsynth 2.x afaik. the typical developer excuse of "no distro uses 2.x yet" =)16:03
joacimseen that so many times with lua and other things16:03
joacimfluidsynth1 should install alongside of 2.x from contrib16:05
joacimsuggestions are welcome =)16:05
