t58What is the lock modifier for when you run xmodmap? I thought it was for caps lock but when clearing it the caps lock key seems unaffected.19:41
stenurt58: caps lock should be Caps_Lock. man xmodmap says under "clear MOFIDIERNAME" "For example, ``clear  Lock'' will remove all any keys that were bound to the shift lock modifier."20:30
stenurThere you go.20:30
t58cheers20:31
stenurTalking about going, does anyone of you still have hyperthreading enabled?  I have not since May 15th (i now have a /sbin/smt.sh with a sudo entry so that i could reenable it20:31
stenurActually the idea was to have it on except when i startup firefox in my browse account.  But, well...20:32
stenurAnyway, yesterday when compiling Linux 4.19.66 from 4.19.63 i reenabled, and with 8 processors it tool about 13.56 minutes to build the kernel.20:33
stenurI am convinced that from .61 to .63 the week before, with four processors, it was shortly below ten minutes.20:33
stenurI.e., with /sys/devices/system/cpu/smt/control=on it took about 40 percent longer!20:34
stenurI was very much surprised, has it ever been like that, or is this only due to working around the CPU issues in kernel/firmware?20:35
stenurt58: cheers back.20:35
stenurWhat a mess!20:36
