SiFuhpedja: Season 4 of the Expanse was the best16:42
pedjaso I keep hearing :)16:43
SiFuhBefore youtube there was a website called  I remember seeing a video of a dude dressed in military clothing standing on the side of the road. There was a car that went airborne and flipped and he stepped aside lighting his cigar as it passed by him very closely. It didn't phase him in the slightest.16:44
SiFuhI thought I still had it, I can't find it.16:45
SiFuhI need a googler to find it16:46

SiFuhpedja: yeah, Holden slipped on a banana and then Kermit the Frog popped up and bit his head off.. Sorry for spoiling the end ;-)16:52
SiFuhIt is really good. I actually enjoyed it.  Hated Season 1 and 2  they just sucked in my opinion.16:53
pedjathat's awesome, I'll start at the season finale, then :)16:53
SiFuhIt is a shame about Lethal Weapon. :-(16:54
pedjawell, blame Riggs :)16:55
SiFuhI blame everyone else. It is Riggs! It is what he actually does.16:55
SiFuhThe fired the guy for being exactly like Riggs in the movie16:56
pedjas/Riggs/Murtaugh/, apparently.16:57
pedjafrom the rumors around the intertubes, the actor playing Murtaugh was a little bit of a diva on set16:58
SiFuhMany of the crew were upset because Riggs was being a total Steve Irwin.16:58
SiFuhThe definition of a diva is a successful female singer, especially a female opera singer, or a demanding and spoiled woman.16:59
pedjathe latter, afaik16:59
SiFuhAhh I think I know what you mean16:59
SiFuhWell Mr Cooper shouldn't be hanging then16:59
SiFuhI did read something about Murtaugh being a whiner17:00
pedjaDamon Wayans was, for some reason, jealous of Crawford. maybe because Crawford is a better actor then him, who the hell knows17:02
pedjaand that the audience seemed to think that Riggs is a much more interesting character, which he was17:03
SiFuh“I’m going to be quitting the show in December after we finish the initial 13… So I really don’t know what they’re planning, but that’s what I’m planning. I’m a 58-year-old diabetic and I’m working 16-hour days,” the comedian said in a video interview. “I’m done. Like Murtaugh said, I’m too old for this.”17:03
pedjanetwork plugged the plug due to abysmal numbers, in other words17:04
SiFuhWell Crawford was brilliant in my opinion17:04

jolupaHi everyone! I'm trying to run nginx and un some php scripts with no solution, I'm reading all the webs I can but I can make it work. I installed php-fpm and modified the conf files like I read in some pages... Anybody has a hint?22:42
jolupaI remember a long time ago was so easy, almost in apache... I'm getting old... :P22:43
*** pedja has quit IRC22:46
ryuojolupa: php-fpm has to be running and configured to serve PHP scripts. it needs to have access to the scripts in particular.23:00
ryuothe location of the scripts is passed along by the FastCGI client afaik.23:01
ryuoeither way you shouldn't need to explicitly configure that on the php-fpm side.23:01
ryuosecond nginx needs to be configured correctly for whatever you're doing for hosting. this usually means virtual hosts.23:01
ryuoyou also need to tell it to how to forward requests to php-fpm via FastCGI23:02
ryuothe most basic form of this is to send requests for URIs ending in .php to it.23:02
ryuoassuming the web server notices the file exists.23:02
jolupaIs better to put uris and not, as I read, unix:/var/run/blablabla?23:03
ryuowhich context?23:03
ryuophp-fpm has to be instructed to listen on something. it'll either use a TCP or UNIX socket.23:04
ryuoconfigure nginx with whatever the connection details are.23:04
ryuoif using a unix socket, the path has to be readable by the web server.23:04
ryuoread/write access is a requirement to even use a unix socket. this can be useful for limiting access.23:05
jolupaok.. so the socket in crux is /var/run/ I read configs in ubunt are /var/run/php-fpm.socket23:06
ryuono, that's probably a PID file.23:06
ryuothe actual path is arbitrary and depends on the configuration.23:06
ryuoif in doubt, start the program and inspect the file yourself.23:07
ryuoa unix socket won't have the same file type as a PID file.23:07
ryuoPID files are regular files; unix sockets are sockets.23:07
jolupahow can I find sockets in crux (I'm not too technical on this things)23:08
ryuounix sockets can be found by searching the filesystem. but using ss or netstat can find all sockets currently open or bound.23:09
ryuoerr open or listening.23:09
ryuofind /run /var/run -type s23:10
ryuoto locate unix sockets.23:10
ryuoss -lntx23:11
ryuois another way, if you know how to read it.23:11
jolupaOK... So if in the results is not php-fpm there's no socket running?23:12
ryuono idea. easiest way to check is if it's running.23:12
ryuopgrep fpm23:13
jolupaok! thanks for the info. I will try to go further on this!23:17
